We strive to bridge the divides in the world and in the spheres of knowledge including ages, disciplines, genders, cultures, nations - reclaiming the true meaning of 'school' and bringing 21st century education to its full potential.
From its origins and founders, sChOoL🤸♀️withOuT frOntier’s movement is deeply connected to Greece. The Greek word for School, « Σχολή » (skholḗ) means exactly... : free time! 🙃
The teaching methods of Ancient sages, who keep revolutionising the world to this day, come with the idea that one needs free time and free space - to study, think, medidate, philosophise, invent -and share knowledge. Originally, school has nothing to do with a building : Plato’s famous academy was an olive grove, Aristotle would teach walking, Epicurus in an orchard, Socrates was teaching throughout the city, especially on the market square (the Agora)...
